I heard Mark Bittman on On Point on Monday. You can listen to the show .here and find more discussion of his book. He makes a very good case for the vegan diet, although he does not totally embrace it himself. He is a vegan till 6:00 pm daily, then eats whatever he wants for the remainder of the day. If we all did that it would make quite a difference.
