How did you become interested in greening the local economy?: I have a son with autism who has severe food allergies and we spend about 3 times more for the foods he needs at Whole Foods mostly. If we could reduce that cost and support local farmers that would be wonderful. We were considering a food coop through Renaissance Farms which is quite a ride from here, but it's year round, includes raw milk, meat, a discount at their store, a Christmas tree, etc. We put that on hold though after finding out about the CSA meeting. We would prefer to buy local.

Why are you interested in becoming a member?: I'm interested in becoming a member because I want to be part of something that I believe in strongly. Also, I'm the local owner and operator of an online city guide and business directory for the Attleboros. I encourage buying and eating local in order to strengthen our local economy and relationships within our community. So I provide free basic business listings to all local businesses as well as free premium listings to all local charities, churches and non-profit organizations. In addition, 5% of any profits are donated back into the community. Here's my website url:

The Global Warming Petition Project

Has anyone heard about the Petition Project that has been signed by over 31,000 American scientists?
I'd be interested in hearing what your thoughts are on this.
